Representatives of the Association EPEKA, so. p., attended the national conference Earlier, better, further: accessible and quality educational programmes for Roma children, which took place on Thursday, 8 December 2016, starting at 9:00, at the premises of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.

The conference will present the challenges in the area of providing accessible and quality educational programmes for Roma children, strategies to overcome the identified challenges, the impact of various national and international initiatives, as well as guidelines for more successful integration of Roma children into the education system.

The conference is aimed at managers and practitioners of kindergartens and schools, representatives of various institutions in local communities, representatives of ministries and government departments, and other actors who work with Roma families. The aim of the conference is to draw attention to the importance of early inclusion of Roma children in education and to find common ways of cooperation between different actors in this field.

The event is held under the honourable patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.
