The Associatiion EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will participate in the Council of Europe Conference to discuss current issues of Roma youth and future policy orientations for the participation and inclusion of Roma youth.

The main objectives of the conference are:

  • To discuss, promote and learn from the work plan for Roma youth
  • To promote and facilitate the participation of young Roma in the policy-making process at all levels
  • To highlight the role of Roma youth in the fight against antigypsyism
  • Increase the mainstreaming of youth issues in policies and programmes dealing with Roma issues and promote the mainstreaming of Roma youth issues in youth policies and programmes in the framework of the Council of Europe and all relevant stakeholders
  • Shape the future of the Roma Youth Action Plan in cooperation with young people in relation to the policies and programmes of the Council of Europe and other relevant Roma and youth stakeholders
  • Analyse the current place of Roma youth issues in relation to national Roma inclusion policies, such as the National Roma Inclusion Strategies and other relevant policies.

The working languages of the conference will be English and Romani.
