Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., participated in the Marketplace of Ideas, a follow-up workshop to the Europe for Citizens Programme, on Wednesday, 15 June 2016, at CMEPIUS in Ljubljana.

The Ideas Marketplace was aimed at organisations that already have an idea they would like to submit to the Europe for Citizens calls for proposals. The workshop was mainly aimed at the practical part of developing project ideas and helping participants to prepare their applications for calls for proposals.

With the help of two mentors, we worked in small groups to review the project ideas, advise the participants and develop the ideas put forward.

Indicative programme:

  •  9.00-9.10: Introduction – Cmepius
  •  9.10-9.45: short presentation of the Europe for Citizens Programme, priorities, funding opportunities, call deadlines
  • 9.45-10.30: marketplace of project ideas and group work for project development – participants present their project ideas, working tables are formed, coordination of group work (open space)
  • 10.30-10.45: coffee break
  • 10.45-11.15: continuation of the marketplace of project ideas
  • 11.15-12.00: discussion on the developed project ideas – Q&A

Workshop facilitators:

Jelka Babič, consultant and project manager

Economist with many years of experience in business in the field of management, development and marketing, she has been involved in European projects for the last ten years. She is very familiar with the Europe for Citizens programme, either as a project manager or as a partner on projects, and has a wide European network of potential partners.

Barbara Možina, Assistant

She has a good knowledge of European calls and has been advising on the preparation of project applications for several years, as well as providing support in project implementation and reporting.
