The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., and its President Štefan Simončič will attend the Bridging business and research conference in Vienna.

Companies do not always have the infrastructure, financial resources and human capital to conduct research for their own needs. Thanks to Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), it is now possible for small to medium-sized enterprises or other businesses to collaborate with academic research organisations. They have access to the equipment of these organisations and the possibility to integrate their highly qualified researchers into their companies’ research projects.

The transfer of high science and technology from creative academic groups to SMEs is a key element of successful innovation.

MSCA recognises the value and importance of well-trained researchers with an entrepreneurial orientation who are able to cross the boundaries between academia and other fields. They are key to the success of the Collaboration.

For this reason, MSCA promotes business-academic collaborations that focus on creating opportunities for researchers to acquire skills and the possibility of contracting to small to medium-sized enterprises and other businesses.
