We organized an online event, which took place from 10 am to 12 noon, intended to present the work done so far on the TRAIN-CE-FOOD project. We presented a curriculum for secondary schools and universities in the field of circular economy, food and social entrepreneurship, which we have compiled with partners for the field of e-learning.<\/p>\n

Our studies show that despite the fact that many countries are starting to adopt sustainable development education programs, there are still many gaps in providing an integrated program that addresses the area of food and the circular economy.<\/p>\n

We conducted a workshop to present the curriculum and invite stakeholders in the fields of education, food and the circular economy to provide us with feedback and insights on how this curriculum could be further developed.<\/p>\n

The workshop consisted of presentations and open discussion through the platform Zoom. The event was online. Participation was free of charge, but registration was required.<\/p>\n

The project is funded by the European Commission – Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs.<\/em><\/p>\n

About TRAIN-CE-FOOD: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Entrepreneurship is recognised as an important factor in reducing youth unemployment. The Circular Economy (CE) also contributes to innovation and job creation, where food supply chains are recognised as a priority. There is a serious lack of educational resources and opportunities in the partner countries for younger generations to learn about the circular economy, food supply chains, business models, entrepreneurship, cooperatives.<\/p>\n

The project involves 8 partners from 6 EU countries (3 with higher youth unemployment) with a range of experts (e.g. in entrepreneurship, cooperatives, circular economy, new business models, teaching, curricula, e-learning, etc.).<\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n

TRAIN-CE-FOOD aims to provide young people with innovative specialised competences that will enable them to use entrepreneurial and cooperative skills and mindsets to create much more effective collective solutions. Young people will also learn business models in the circular economy and supply chains through online learning, workshops and intensive distance training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
