The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., organises a film screening in Novo mesto as part of the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal project<\/strong>.
\n<\/p>\n

EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal<\/strong><\/a> is an innovative project dedicated to a sustainable Europe<\/strong>, presenting the European Union’s green objectives in a film context. The project contributes to the appreciation and understanding of the EU Green Deal<\/strong> (https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_sl<\/a>) among young viewers and provides a platform for a multicultural approach to the Green Agenda. The project engages young audiences in particular, addressing environmental challenges and promoting green activities and lifestyles.<\/p>\n

The project will offer young people and teachers a programme of film and educational activities over a period of 24 months. Film screenings and streaming content will be accompanied by didactic material and thematically linked discussions, workshops and lectures.<\/p>\n

The programme is based on a carefully selected collection of 25 European films, which will be presented both in cinemas and via an online streaming platform<\/a> between May 2022 and May 2024.<\/p>\n

The project is implemented in Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Romania. All films will be subtitled in local languages and are suitable for young people aged 10 and over.<\/p>\n

Involvement in the climate justice movement dominates her daily life; work and study are pushed to the background. Activism turns out to be a form of action that gives her strength and hope. In the midst of an open coal mine that resembles the surface of the moon, she realises how far she will go to stop it.<\/p>\n

CLIMATE PLANET FILM is a scientific masterpiece in an easily accessible and engaging format, including images, visuals and animations. The documentary goes back to the very beginnings of our planet and shows how our climate depends on a complex balance – a balance that we humans are now effectively upsetting. At the same time, the film shows the interconnectedness between the temperature rise caused by human activities and the resulting effects on climate, nature and human well-being, and is therefore recommended for didactic purposes.<\/p>\n

This BBC documentary, hosted by Sir David Attenborough and commissioned by the BBC, provides an in-depth overview of the scientific theories of climate change. Director Serena Davies also explores possible solutions, examining the innovations, technologies and actions that world governments and industry are taking to prevent further warming, and profiles the people who are fighting for change.<\/p>\n
