The Association Epeka, Soc. Ent., is pleased to announce that we have become a partner in the EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal project, funded by the Creative Europe Media Programme.<\/p>\n

EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal is an innovative project dedicated to a sustainable Europe, presenting the European Union’s green objectives in a cinematic context, contributing to the appreciation and understanding of the EU Green Deal (ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_en) among young audiences, and providing a platform for a multicultural approach to the Green Agenda. The project engages young audiences in particular, addressing environmental challenges and promoting green activities and lifestyles.
\nThe project will offer young people and teachers a year-long programme of film and educational activities over a period of 24 months. The film screenings and streaming content will be accompanied by didactic material and thematically linked discussions, workshops and lectures.
\nThe programme is based on a carefully selected film collection of 25 European films, which will be presented both in cinemas and via an online streaming platform between May 2022 and May 2024. The project is implemented in Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, North Macedonia and Romania. All films will be subtitled in local languages and are suitable for young people aged 13 and over.
\nThe project will be launched on a symbolic date – Europe Day, 5-9 May 2022. The award-winning documentaries HONEYLAND (Honeyland; North Macedonia; in cinemas) and MORE THAN HONEY (More than Honey; Austria\/Germany\/Switzerland; online streaming platform) will also be screened on this occasion, accompanied by the moving Ukrainian short film PRYCHYNNA, as a sign of solidarity. A STORY OF LOVE (Ukraine; in cinemas and online streaming platform).<\/p>\n

The project is coordinated by LET’S CEE FILMFESTIVAL (AT), with partners Epeka (SI), CHAPTER4 (AT) and GO GREEN (MK).<\/p>\n
