\nFarm \u2013 A Space of Diversity project<\/h3>\n

Here is the end of the second year of the Farm – A Space of Diversity project, funded by the European Fund for Rural Development under sub-measure 16.9.
\n<\/p>\n

Although it has been a very unusual year, full of surprises and unexpected obstacles both in everyday life and in the project implementation process, we have successfully completed this phase of the project. We are implementing the project in cooperation with the Farm at Kova\u010dnik, the Farm at Baron, the Trankovec Farm and the Epeka Youth Cooperative. The project aims to increase the capacity of agricultural holdings to work with vulnerable groups with a view to their social activation and faster reintegration into society and the labour market. We also emphasise the intergenerational component and the educational approaches that enable the transfer of knowledge between all participants and also between educators.<\/p>\n

Realised results of the project<\/strong><\/p>\n

During this twelve-month period, we have successfully carried out 18 training and work activities on three farms, attended by a total of 190 participants. During the course of this year’s implementation, the methodology we established in the first year of implementation has been more clearly formulated, and in the coming year we will thoroughly analyse the feasibility of translating the project’s solutions into practice in the context of on-farm complementary activities. Such short-term work-training activities can be carried out within the framework of the existing possibilities of registration of the complementary training activity and the organisation of workshops and courses on the farm, but it should be stressed that the inclusion of vulnerable target groups in various forms of theoretical and practical training requires from the operators of this type of complementary activity, precisely due to the fact that they have little contact with them, a good knowledge of the needs of vulnerable target groups and of the specificities of education and work with them, or with heterogeneous groups in society in general.<\/p>\n

The training of the farms in the framework of the project has shown that the two farms which are already carrying out complementary training and improvement activities (Farm at Baron and Farm at Kova\u010dnik) will be able to involve new target groups, including the most vulnerable, in workshops and courses in the future with the knowledge they have acquired. The training was particularly important for the Trankovec farm, as Simon \u017dlahti\u010d had registered a complementary activity of training and further training on the farm during the project period and was thus able to test the acquired or updated knowledge in practice. Nevertheless, throughout the project, there was a need to actively involve the lead partner, who has extensive experience of working with different vulnerable target groups.<\/p>\n
