{"id":25974,"date":"2020-11-05T06:35:39","date_gmt":"2020-11-05T06:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/?p=25974"},"modified":"2023-11-21T07:42:40","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T07:42:40","slug":"ventilation-of-rooms-during-covid-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/en\/ventilation-of-rooms-during-covid-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Ventilation of rooms during COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">November, 2020<br \/>NIJZ<\/h3>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NIJZ has prepared guidance on how to ventilate during SARS-CoV-2 outbreaks.<!--more--><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 can occur due to:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<li>INADEQUATE VENTILATION AND AIR CONDITIONING,<\/li>\r\n<li>KEEPING SEVERAL PEOPLE TOGETHER INDOORS.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">WHAT CAN BE DONE TO PREVENT AIRBORNE TRANSMISSION:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<li>Following general hygiene recommendations: use of face masks &#8211; keeping personal distance &#8211; hand hygiene, sneezing and coughing.<\/li>\r\n<li>Check the ventilation options in the premises or building<\/li>\r\n<li>Ventilation, air filtration and disinfection settings (rooms with several people):<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">KEY RECOMMENDATIONS:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<li>When occupants are present, we recommend continuous ventilation with outdoor fresh air, with maximum airflow.<\/li>\r\n<li>Set the ventilation system so that the air in the rooms does not circulate.<\/li>\r\n<li>Avoid draught ventilation when several people are present.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS:<\/p>\r\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\r\n<li>Use air purifiers or disinfectants that have been proven to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 and safe for the occupants of the premises.<\/li>\r\n<li>Air filtration (filters of at least MERV 13 or higher) is recommended.<\/li>\r\n<li>Consideration should be given to possible additional measures for at-risk populations and activities where the potential for SARS-CoV-2 infection is higher.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nijz.si\/nalezljive-bolezni\/koronavirus\/navodila-za-prezracevanje-prostorov-izven-zdravstvenih-ustanov-v-casu-sirjenja-okuzbe-covid-19\/\">Source and more information<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For more information, please contact us by <a href=\"epeka@epeka.si\">email<\/a> or on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/epeka.sloveniahttps:\/\/www.facebook.com\/epeka.slovenia\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eu-skladi.si\/\">EU Funds<\/a><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is part-funded by the European Social Fund and the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and the European Union.
