Ent., and members of the consortium of the project Farm &#8211; A Space of Diversity, funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, will take part in an online debate HOW THE EU PROMOTES AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SELF-GUILDING, which will take place on Friday, 5 June 2020, at 11:00.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With us will be:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Franc Bogovi\u010d MEP (ELS),<\/li>\n<li>Dr Jo\u017ee Podgor\u0161ek, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Ale\u0161 Kuhar, agrarian economist at the Faculty of Biotechnics, University of Ljubljana,<\/li>\n<li>Branko Ravnik, Director of the Slovenian Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the debate, we will discuss how the pandemic has contributed to a greater awareness of the importance of local food and self-sufficiency and touch on the following key issues:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>To what extent are the EU and Slovenia self-sufficient, for which type of food is the level of self-sufficiency the highest? and where is it lowest?<\/li>\n<li>How does the EU concretely promote agricultural development and self-sufficiency?<\/li>\n<li>How can these programmes concretely benefit Slovenian farmers and consumers?<\/li>\n<li>Is the crisis an opportunity to develop domestic food chains?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you would like to take part in the Zoom debate, you can register <a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/webinar\/register\/WN_2fa6jrklTGSWpqg6c1oPqQ\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>5 June, 2020 Web conference <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc.
