The Roma Cultural Heritage Routes will make visible the most important Roma cultural manifestations and will connect neighbourhoods, places, museums and documentation, research, cultural and educational centres, promoting knowledge and recognition of Roma cultural heritage.<br \/>\nThe project involves many other stakeholders at local, national and international level. Through the creation of a network of stakeholders, the establishment of routes and the implementation of a wide range of activities and events (presentations, concerts, exhibitions, conferences, workshops, etc.), the project will be able to promote the cultural heritage of Roma communities. ), the project aims to preserve, promote and disseminate the diverse Roma culture and heritage, while actively engaging new audiences, taking into account digital methods of content creation and dissemination; to fight discrimination and change attitudes towards Roma; to promote the active participation of Roma individuals, associations and businesses; to increase social inclusion and improve the economy and living conditions of a large number of Roma by stimulating the local economy and supporting sustainable local tourism and cultural development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">More <a href=\"https:\/\/romheritage.eu\/\">about the project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is part of the HEI-TRANSFORM project and builds on the role of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.um.si\/ft-postala-clan-mreze-univerz-za-studije-o-kulturnih-poteh\/\">the Faculty of Tourism of the University of Maribor<\/a> as a member of the Network of Universities for Cultural Routes Studies in the framework of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The research project <a href=\"https:\/\/itd.fa.uni-lj.si\/sl\/hei-transform\/\">Heritage for Inclusive Sustainable Transformation &#8211; HEI-TRANSFORM<\/a> is both a basic research and an action step that can serve as a basis for the preparation of more detailed future guidelines and concrete measures for the revitalisation of abandoned heritage sites and heritage sites with currently inappropriate use. The project is led by Prof. Dr. Sonja Ifko, Faculty of Architecture, University of Ljubljana and brings together researchers from as many as ten research institutions in Slovenia.
