The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, is a host volunteer organisation for the Look beyond project, which will run from 7 January 2015 to 6 January 2016.<\/p>\n

In cooperation with the Turkish organisation Sahipsiz Hayvanlar\u0131 Koruma ve Ya\u015fatma Derne\u011fi from Sinop, we have been awarded an international project under the Erasmus+ Youth chapter.<\/p>\n

This means that Turkish volunteers Hikmet Fatih Akliman<\/strong> and Seyda Yalcin<\/strong> will join the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., team, for one year.<\/p>\n

The two young Turks will have the opportunity to work with the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., at all levels and will certainly have a great opportunity to co-create its regular and extraordinary programme. They will be actively involved in non-formal education processes<\/strong> and will train their creativity, constructive communication, teamwork skills, conception, development and implementation of ideas into real projects and activities.<\/p>\n

Their interaction with young people<\/strong>, their involvement in youth-oriented activities and their self-initiated implementation of youth activities will be very important. Hikmet and Seyda will also be promoters of volunteering. Their time with our organisation will prove that volunteering can be an interesting and active way to meet new places and people. Through their involvement, we would like to involve more young people in being active and stimulate their curiosity and motivation to get involved with NGOs.<\/p>\n

The two Turkish volunteers will also be available for Slovenian language lessons and will have the opportunity to present their country, culture and language in an interactive way.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All the newly acquired skills and knowledge will be used by our volunteers in their future formal and non-formal education, career guidance and first job search.<\/p>\n

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., is supported by the Municipality of Maribor<\/a>, the Slovenian Youth Office<\/a>, the EU Erasmus+ Programme<\/a> and the EU Culture Programme.<\/p>\n
