We kindly invite you to the opening of the exhibition Process<\/strong> by young Austrian artist – Selim Oran<\/strong>. The opening of the exhibition will take place in EPEKA \u00a0Gallery (Koro\u0161ka 8, 2000 Maribor) on 31st August at 7.00 PM.<\/p>\n

The process of developing the work is essential. By utilizing different materials and techniques, this process is emphasized and urges to experimental work. The unpredictable comes to the fore, and the images themselves represent abstract works of the mixing technique; they are illustrations – snapshots – of internal processes.<\/em><\/p>\n

Selim Oran (b.1991 in AUT) is a young artist living and working in Vienna. In 2015 he got accepted to the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and started his studies in the class of Gunter Damisch. Starting with his early works, drawings with charcoal and ink on paper, the artist had already had a tendency for the abstract. It has since then led his painting to become still images of the processes themselves, unaltered by the artist. Since 2016 he has participated in three group exhibition, having his first solo show in 2017 in Epeka Gallery in Maribor.<\/p>\n
