{"id":94230,"date":"2025-09-02T08:59:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T08:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/?p=94230"},"modified":"2025-11-18T04:25:43","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T04:25:43","slug":"eco-and-community-villages-as-living-solutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/en\/eco-and-community-villages-as-living-solutions\/","title":{"rendered":"Eco and community villages as living solutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">October 13, 2025, at 7 p.m.<br \/>\nTyr\u0161eva ulica 15, Maribor<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EPEKA Association will also be holding a cycle of workshops, lectures and discussions in 2025 as part of the program <strong>Living Problems of Youth or Youth Autonomy<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of the entire program will be to facilitate the transition to adult life for young people, also by empowering them to be independent in the area of \u200b\u200bhousing. The meetings will be aimed at gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences and understanding the key challenges that young people face in becoming independent. Through a variety of content, we will provide young people with insight into practical procedures, financial aspects, alternative options and the broader social contexts of housing conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the workshop <strong>Eco and Community Villages as Living Solutions<\/strong>, we will introduce participants to sustainable living models based on self-sufficiency, community management and environmental responsibility. We will explain how ecovillages combine natural materials, energy efficiency and resource sharing. We will present examples of successful ecovillages from various European countries and analyze why they are attractive to young people as more affordable and socially stable solutions. Participants will learn about the differences between ecovillages and other forms of community living and the practical steps needed to start such a project. We will discuss how community villages strengthen cooperation, reduce living costs and create an environment of mutual support. The workshop will also consider the possibilities of transferring these models to the Slovenian space, potential obstacles and support structures that such communities need. The meeting will promote the understanding of living as a community project based on cooperation and solidarity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to the limited number of places, we ask you to register in advance at <a href=\"mailto:epeka@epeka.si\">epeka@epeka.si<\/a> or in person.
