{"id":94238,"date":"2025-09-02T10:00:28","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T10:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/?p=94238"},"modified":"2025-11-19T07:57:32","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T07:57:32","slug":"discussion-why-do-young-people-stay-at-home-longer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/en\/discussion-why-do-young-people-stay-at-home-longer\/","title":{"rendered":"Discussion: Why do young people stay at home longer?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">October 22, 2025, at 7 p.m.<br \/>\nTyr\u0161eva ulica 15, Maribor<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Association EPEKA will continue to conduct a cycle of workshops, lectures and discussions in 2025 as part of the <strong>Living Problems of Youth or Youth Autonomy program<\/strong>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of the entire program will be to facilitate the transition to adult life for young people, also by empowering them to be independent in the area of \u200b\u200bhousing. The meetings will be aimed at gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences and understanding the key challenges that young people face in becoming independent. Through a variety of content, we will provide young people with insight into practical procedures, financial aspects, alternative options and the broader social contexts of housing conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The discussion <strong>Why Young People Stay at Home Longer<\/strong> will explore the causes that influence the delay in independence among young generations. Participants will reflect on financial constraints, precarious employment, and high rental costs that make it difficult for young people to leave home. We will also touch on social and cultural factors that encourage extended stays in the primary family. We will discuss psychological aspects such as fear of uncertainty, family pressure, and a sense of unpreparedness for independence. Participants will share their own experiences and situations they face in their home environment. In the discussion, we will look for ways to support young people in their transition to independent living, and review practices from abroad that enable young people to become independent faster. The meeting will encourage critical thinking about how society shapes the conditions that influence the life course of young people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to the limited number of places, we ask you to register in advance at <a href=\"mailto:epeka@epeka.si\">epeka@epeka.si<\/a> or in person.
