{"id":94309,"date":"2025-11-16T13:55:21","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T13:55:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/?p=94309"},"modified":"2025-11-19T07:46:19","modified_gmt":"2025-11-19T07:46:19","slug":"precarious-work-and-housing-dependency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epeka.si\/en\/precarious-work-and-housing-dependency\/","title":{"rendered":"Precarious work and housing dependency"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">December 5, 2025, at 7 p.m.<br \/>\nTyr\u0161eva ulica 15, Maribor<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The EPEKA Association will also be holding a cycle of workshops, lectures and discussions in 2025 as part of the <strong>Living Problems of Youth or Youth Autonomy<\/strong> program.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of the entire program will be to facilitate the transition to adult life for young people, also by empowering them to be independent in the area of \u200b\u200bhousing. The meetings will be aimed at gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences and understanding the key challenges that young people face in becoming independent. Through a variety of content, we will provide young people with insight into practical procedures, financial aspects, alternative options and the broader social contexts of housing conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The lecture <strong>Precarious Work and Housing Dependency<\/strong> will address the connection between precarious forms of employment and the difficulties young people face in achieving housing independence. Participants will learn how unstable income affects the possibilities of renting, obtaining credit and long-term planning. We will analyze the most common forms of precarious work and discuss their consequences for financial stability. We will pay special attention to the impact of precarious employment on the risks of social exclusion and interrupted career paths. We will discuss examples of how young people face simultaneous uncertainty in the labor market and in the housing sector. Participants will consider which systemic tools could improve the situation of young people in such situations. The lecture will stimulate a discussion on how society can better protect young people from long-term housing and economic vulnerability.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to the limited number of places, we ask you to register in advance at <a href=\"mailto:epeka@epeka.si\">epeka@epeka.si<\/a> or in person.
