More than 60 young people from 14 countries at the final conference of the DigitalVsCorrupt project in Berane<\/p>\n

As part\u00a0 of the DigitalVsCorrupt project <\/strong>\u00a0, the final conference of the project was held on Monday, May 25, 2026 in Berane, Montenegro, which brought together young people, representatives of institutions, civil society organizations and other interested stakeholders from several European countries.<\/p>\n

The conference presented the key results of the project, developed educational materials, digital tools and recommendations for strengthening transparency, accountability and active citizenship among young people.<\/p>\n

A special focus of the project was on empowering young people to identify corrupt practices, understand their impact on democracy and actively participate in creating a more transparent society.<\/p>\n

The project brought together organisations, youth workers and young people from 14 countries of the European Union and the Western Balkans and encouraged the exchange of good practices, intercultural dialogue and joint search for solutions to prevent corruption.<\/p>\n

The DigitalVsCorrupt project <\/strong>proves that young people can actively contribute to a more open, accountable and democratic society by supporting digital tools, international cooperation and non-formal education.<\/p>\n

O projektu DigitalVsCorrupt<\/strong><\/p>\n

The DigitalVsCorrupt project <\/strong>addresses corruption as one of the key challenges of modern societies. Corruption has a negative impact on democratic processes, the rule of law, economic development and citizens’ trust in institutions.<\/p>\n

Through the project, the partners promote the use of digital tools, non-formal education and international cooperation to raise awareness among young people about the consequences of corruption and to develop concrete mechanisms that can contribute to a more transparent and accountable functioning of society.<\/p>\n

International partnership<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project brings together partners from several countries, including Montenegro, Slovenia, Germany, Italy and other European and Western Balkan countries. Cooperation enables the exchange of knowledge, experience and approaches to the fight against corruption in different social contexts.<\/p>\n

The final conference in Berane was also an opportunity to strengthen international dialogue, networking and further cooperation between organizations working in the field of youth work, transparency, civic education and democratic participation.<\/p>\n

Digitalisation as a tool for change<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a time when digital tools are increasingly shaping public life, communication and access to information, it is important that young people also see them as a tool for social responsibility. The DigitalVsCorrupt project <\/strong>\u00a0highlights that digitalisation can contribute to greater transparency, more effective reporting of irregularities, public awareness and a more active role of young people in society.<\/p>\n

The final conference was therefore a meeting point for all interested parties to present the project’s achievements and to reflect on further steps in connecting digital solutions, youth work and the fight against corruption.<\/p>\n

The DigitalVsCorrupt project is funded by the European Union. The Slovenian co-financer is the Ministry of Public Administration, and the Montenegrin co-financer is the Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organisations of Montenegro.<\/strong><\/p>\n
