EPEKA participates in the Erasmus+ international project “Support the Start of the Youth Organisation”.

The objectives of the project are:

  1. to improve the offer of training and socio-educational animation in the youth sector also in relation with local political decision makers;
  2. to support trainers and youth leaders in starting up forms of association or youth associations in their area;
  3. develop the capacity of organisations to work transnationally and cross-sectorally;
  4. to start the process of formal recognition of the youth worker figure.

The main activities are:

  • the production and editing of an electronic manual for the launch and development of a youth association and the implementation of quality socio-educational animation activities
  • conducting a pilot training to test the effectiveness of the e-book
  • 4 transnational meetings and trainings
  • drafting of a system for assessing the exit skills of youth workers

Outputs will be:

  • a work plan indicating activities, deadlines and tasks for each partner
  • an e-book for youth workers
  • learning material to be used in the pilot course
  • rating scales for the output skills of the 24 youth workers
  • a guide for the assessment and formal recognition of skills, containing the learning outcomes of the training course
  • project logo, website and social media pages about the project

The project is co-funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme, the Slovenian Office for Youth and the Municipality of Maribor.
