Are you interested in how you can change the world around you with your time and skills, and at the same time gain invaluable experience for yourself? Join us for the  workshop of the project “From experience to support”, where we will explore the world of volunteering.

Operation From Experience to Support is being carried out within the framework of the 2025 call for proposals for the Development and Professionalisation of NGOs and Volunteering. The operation will last 27 months and is aimed at strengthening quality, organised and sustainable volunteering and providing better, integrated support to volunteers.

What is volunteering?

Volunteering is not just work without pay. It is an expression of free will, solidarity and empathy. It is that moment when you decide to dedicate your time to the good of others or the wider community.

Why become a volunteer?

Volunteering is one of the best things you can do for yourself:

What will we learn at the workshop?

  1. Basics of volunteering: How to get started and where to get involved?
  2. Legislation and Rights: We will learn  about the Volunteering Act – your rights, protection from exploitation, and state incentives.
  3. Youth in Action: How Primary and Secondary School Students and Students Can Get Involved.
  4. Slovenian pulse: Who are the largest organizations in Slovenia (Red Cross, Caritas, Firefighters, Philanthropy…) and how does the volunteer network work?

Opportunities at EPEKA

As part of the project “From experience to support” , we invite you to join us in concrete activities:

  • 📚 Providing educational assistance to Roma children and children from socially disadvantaged families.
  • 🎨 Organization of art, sports and digital workshops.
  • 🌍 Erasmus+ environmental events and youth exchanges.
