Have you ever had an interesting idea and thought: “This could be a business!”? But then you didn’t know how to start? Startup is the way simple ideas become successful stories – and you can be part of it!

Startups are young, innovative companies that develop new solutions and grow rapidly. They often start with a simple idea that solves a problem and then, with the right steps, develop it into a successful project. This workshop will explain how you too can enter this world – with no prior knowledge or experience!

🕑 14.00 – 14.30 | What is a startup and why are they important?

  • What does the word startup even mean ?
  • What is the difference between a regular company and a startup?
  • Successful startup stories from Slovenia and around the world.

🕜 14.30 – 15.00 | How to turn an idea into something concrete?

  • How do you identify a good business idea?
  • How to check if an idea is feasible?
  • What is a business model and why do we need one?

🕒 15.00 – 15.45 | First steps in starting a startup

  • How to get started without a big investment?
  • Where to find support, mentors and funding?
  • Useful tools for young entrepreneurs.

☕ 15.45 – 16.00 | Break and opportunity for discussion

🕓 16.00 – 16.45 | Create your first startup idea! (practical exercise)

  • We will work in groups to develop our own startup ideas.
  • We will learn how to present your idea to others.
  • How to think like an entrepreneur?

🕠 16.45 – 17.30 | How to convince people to support your idea?

  • What is a pitch and how to prepare it?
  • How to present your idea in an interesting and convincing way?
  • Examples of successful pitches.

🕡 17.30 – 18.00 | Questions, discussion and networking

  • Time for questions and exchange of ideas.
  • A chance to meet new people interested in entrepreneurship.
