16 – 26 June 2024
Split, Croatia
You are invited to the international TC training “How to BE an emotionally intelligent educator?”, which will take place in Split, Croatia.
The training is aimed at youth workers who want to develop their competences in social and emotional learning (SEL) and strengthen young people’s mental health through modern and positive approaches.
Today’s young people face an increasing number of challenges – from the pressures of social networks, lack of a sense of self-worth, to the stigma of mental distress. The youth worker has an important role to play in identifying these problems and creating a safe space where young people can develop holistically – both on a personal and social level. TC offers tools, methods and skills to work with young people in a more empathetic, self-aware and effective way.
Participants will learn, among other things:
- how to understand mental health as a multidimensional phenomenon,
- how to promote positive self-image and emotional management in youth work,
- how to develop emotional intelligence, empathic communication and supportive relationships with young people,
- the limits of a youth worker’s responsibility in dealing with mental distress.
The programme is based on experiential learning, personal reflection, practical exercises and sharing experiences in an international group. This is a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of emotional intelligence, network with youth workers from other countries and strengthen your methods and approaches to working with young people.
Applications are now open: epeka@epeka.si
If you want to become a more confident, emotionally intelligent and effective youth worker, this is the training for you.
The training is supported by Erasmus+, URSM and the City of Maribor.
