Representatives of the Association EPEKA, the social enterprise, will take part in the webinar “Subletting private housing for Housing First”.

This session will explore the different sub-letting models used to house Housing First clients across Europe, highlighting practical lessons and approaches from both Italy and Spain.

  • Caterina Cortese will share the experience from Rome, focusing on how fio.PSD supports Housing First clients through sub-let arrangements and partnerships at local level.
  • Gonzalo Caro Sagüés will present the model developed by Hogar Sí in Spain, outlining how sub-letting is used as a pathway to secure stable housing for Housing First participants.

The webinar will be chaired by Ben Rickey from the City of Paris.

Housing First is more than just an approach to help people experiencing homelessness, it is the key to unlocking broader systems’ change to prevent and end homelessness across Europe.

The EPEKA Association, so.p. continues its activities within the project EPEKA – Housing Cooperative for All. The solution we are addressing in this project is tackling the housing issue through cooperative housing. Housing cooperatives already offer a suitable approach to resolving the housing crisis, as they exist in numerous cities and regions across Europe. These cooperatives come in various forms and sizes—some consist of just one building that is collectively owned by a group of people.
