November 13-14, 2025
Center Rog, Ljubljana
Representatives of the Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, will attend the international Rog Forum.
The focus will be on panel discussions with distinguished guests on the central theme of Borders and Frictions.
- Renowned designers and experts from established domestic and international organizations will share their views on creativity that reveals, shifts or transforms borders – and turns frictions into opportunities for innovative solutions.
- We will explore how design can strengthen communities. International experts and activists will share their experiences, from local initiatives to global programs.
- In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, we will examine how creative, cultural and scientific diplomacy can bridge social and value differences.
- With international designers and professors, we will seek an answer to the ever-current question: is fashion an art or a craft?
- In a discussion about food, inclusion and the power of shared meals, we will learn how the cuisines of migrant communities can redefine culinary borders.
- We will open a discussion on the opportunities and challenges of residency programs that push the boundaries of cultural and geographical stereotypes.
- In a special roundtable, we will explore how rural communities are strengthening their influence on issues of habitation and land use and ownership.
- We will also open the topic of regeneration as an active, creative approach to reflecting on our relationship with the living world, and talk about innovative approaches to design, using local materials and technologies to build more equitable, resilient communities.
