Members of the Association EPEKA will participate in a prominent event in May, organized by the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development of the Republic of Slovenia (UMAR) on the occasion of presenting the Development Report 2026. The central theme of the meeting, “Quality of Life in Slovenia”, addresses key challenges and opportunities for improving the well-being of all citizens, which correlates directly with our efforts in the fields of social affairs, youth, and education.

The Development Report is not just a statistical document, but a strategic compass for the future. The quality of life in Slovenia is measured through a wide range of indicators that go beyond mere economic growth. It includes key areas such as:

  • Access to high-quality public services (healthcare, education, and culture).
  • Social inclusion and reducing inequalities among different social groups.
  • Environmental sustainability as a foundation for the healthy living of future generations.
  • Subjective well-being and individuals’ satisfaction with life.

For non-governmental organizations, understanding these data is crucial, as it allows us to better plan programs that respond directly to the needs of the local environment. The discussion will shed light on where Slovenia is progressing and where additional systemic shifts are needed to ensure the long-term resilience of society. At Association EPEKA, we believe that the inclusion of youth and vulnerable groups in these processes is decisive for shaping a fairer future.

More information about the event itself and the content of the report can be found on the official website of the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development.
