NIJZ

As the epidemic subsides, measures to limit its spread are gradually being relaxed.

Nevertheless, the NIJZ warns that physical distancing, hand and cough hygiene and isolation of the sick are still essential.

According to the NIJZ, we summarise the basic guidance:

  1. Regular and thorough hand washing with soap and water or hand disinfection Hand washing with soap and water is a basic hygiene measure that physically removes dirt and micro-organisms from our hands in a relatively simple way. Before washing your hands under running water, first wet them and then soap them. This washes away a significant number of micro-organisms from the surface of the hands and the soaping that follows is more effective. It is important to wash all areas of the hands (palms, fingers, spaces between the fingers, backs of the hands, fingertips, thumb, under the nails, wrists). Close the tap with the elbow or a paper towel, not with the bare washed hand, especially if you are not at home. If it is not possible to wash hands under running water with soap, hand washing can be replaced by disinfection.Do not touch the face, especially the mouth, nose and eyes, unless the hands have first been washed or disinfected.
  2. Before coughing/sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a paper handkerchief or cough/sneeze into the upper part of your sleeve. After each use, dispose of the paper tissue in a special plastic garbage bag and wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect your hands,
  3. Respect the rules of physical distancing When socialising with people outside the household, make sure to keep a distance of at least 1.5 m or 2 m between you and them.
  4. In case of signs of illness, stay at home It is important that in case of signs and symptoms of illness (such as cold, malaise, muscle pain, fever, cough), you stay at home and consult your doctor of choice by phone and follow his/her instructions.
  5. Compliance with the recommendations/recommendations of the NICU at the time of release By complying with the recommendations/recommendations of the NICU at the time of release, we help to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2.            :
