The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, invites you to participate in the youth exchange project “Mother Earth – Exploring Ecology and Gender,” which will take place in France.

Project details

Mother Earth” is a youth exchange that brings together 32 young people from six countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany and Slovenia) to explore the link between environmental issues and gender equality through the lens of ecofeminism. The aim of the project is to enable young people to better understand and take action at the intersection of ecological and social justice. Participants will learn how climate change disproportionately affects women and marginalized communities and how feminist and environmental struggles can run parallel.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPLORE:

  • Ecofeminism and intersectionality.
  • The mental and emotional strain on activists and women.
  • Sustainable practices and conscious activism.
  • Media literacy and creative communication.
  • Tools such as meditation, body awareness, and storytelling.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Participate in group workshops and team-building activities.
  • Reflect on your identity and cultural background.
  • Create media content to spread positive messages.
  • Develop personal and group action plans.
  • Prepare and receive a Youthpass certificate.

THE GOAL OF THIS EXCHANGE?

  • Develop a critical understanding of ecofeminism.
  • Develop advocacy and sustainability skills.
  • Promote inclusion and active citizenship.
  • Promote long-term commitment to climate and gender justice.
  • Create a diverse, intercultural space for learning and solidarity.

RAKONTO is an association of international storytellers whose goal is to promote a socially and environmentally just ecological transition through artistic practices. They explore alternative solutions to the socio-environmental crisis and create new visions of desirable futures through art, storytelling, and non-formal education.
