The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., invites you to a round table entitled: “Where are the fireflies?”, which will take place on 13 August 2021 at 10 am on the island of Maribor.
Do you know why fireflies glow? What do they like best for lunch? How do they reproduce? How is it that they illuminate the night space less every year? Are there fewer fireflies, or are other insect species also becoming less numerous in Slovenia?
Urška Ratajc, Master of Ecology and Biodiversity, a young researcher at the National Institute of Biology and a representative of the Slovenian Entomological Society Štefan Michieli will answer these and similar questions about the mysterious life of fireflies and other insects.
