The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, invites you to a youth exchange that will take place in Italy. The exchange is described in very colorful terms – Youth Lucefest is a match made in empathy: a cross between urban art, photography, and architecture.

Welcome to San Pietro Magisano – Calabria, Italy. The youth exchange will take place from August 3 to 11, 2025. The deadline for applications is June 28, 2025.

Participating organizations:

  4. Asociación de mujeres monte carmelo (Spain).
  5. Scientific and Research Association for Art, Cultural and Educational Programs and Technology EPEKA, social enterprise (Slovenia).
  6. Jovesolides Egypt (Egypt).

This youth exchange is organized for 7 days and includes activities that will enable participants to feel part of the process of urban renewal, preservation of historical memory, and storytelling through photography. Each host country will have a group consisting of 4 people and a group leader.

The objectives of the project are:

  • to bring young people from rural areas closer to European programs and mobility opportunities, thereby promoting intercultural learning and European identity;
  • to strengthen the soft skills of young people from rural areas;
  • to develop ideologies for recycling and reusing materials through creativity and art;
  • presenting art and artistic work at a socio-cultural level, raising awareness of socially relevant topics with a focus on rural areas.
  • conveying emotions through photographs that show a first impression of the area
  • discovering Calabria’s archaeological heritage to immerse ourselves in the architecture of the past.

Erasmus plus three objectives:

  • Supporting young people in rural areas;
  • a sustainable green Europe;
  • youth organizations and European programs

The profile of expected participants and the formation of national groups is as follows:

  • 4 participants + 1 group leader
  • participants aged 18–29
  • residents of the sending organization’s country
  • at least one participant in the group must come from a rural area (small towns, countryside, etc.)
  • countries of origin of participants with fewer opportunities (we encourage the participation of young
  • people with fewer opportunities who face geographical, cultural, economic, or health barriers)
    balanced gender representation
  • with a keen interest in photography, with the ability to capture moments and images
  • the group leader may be older than 30 and is expected to
  • lead the activity within the program (all leaders will be invited to an organizational interview in early July)

Infopack

Participation is free of charge for members of the EPEKA Association, so.p.; travel, accommodation, and meal expenses during the project are covered.
