WORKSHOP SCHEDULE (MONDAYS, FEBRUARY–MARCH 2025)
Workshop (1) – What does it mean to be employment literate?
📅 Monday, February 3, 2025, at 5:00 p.m.
The introductory workshop will focus on understanding the concept of employment literacy and why it is crucial for finding work today. We will discuss basic concepts such as CVs, cover letters, interviews, digital presence, and future skills. Participants will reflect on their goals, interests, and dreams, while we create a safe environment that encourages open conversation and collaborative learning.
Workshop (2) – What does an employer really look for in a CV?
📅 Monday, February 10, 2025, at 5 p.m.
In this workshop, we will look at what makes a successful CV. Together, we will analyze specific examples of CVs—both good and less effective ones—and determine what employers most often notice. We will learn how to structure key information, avoid mistakes, and highlight personal strengths and experience, even if there is little of it. The workshop will be interactive and practical.
Workshop (3) – Recognising your own experiences and strengths
📅 Monday, February 17, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Everyone has skills and experience—even if they have not yet been employed. Together, we will look for the skills we already have: caring for family, volunteer work, school projects, hobbies, and everyday responsibilities. We will learn how to recognize all of this as competencies and clearly present them in our CVs. In doing so, we will also strengthen our sense of self-worth and self-confidence.
Workshop (4) – Create your CV
📅 Monday, February 24, 2025, at 5 p.m.
In this workshop, we will create our own CVs. We will learn about tools such as Microsoft Word and Canva, and learn the basics of graphic design for a clear and professional presentation. Participants will use templates and structured guidance to create their first or updated CV. They will also receive support with final review and improvements.
Workshop (5) – A motivational letter that says more than just “I want a job”
📅 Monday, March 3, 2025, at 5 p.m.
A cover letter is an opportunity to show your motivation and personality. In this workshop, we will write texts that stand out – sincere, relevant to the specific job advertisement and without unnecessary embellishment. We will learn about the basic structure of a letter, the role of personal tone, and the importance of specific examples. Everyone will prepare a draft letter for a selected job position.
Workshop (6) – Use artificial intelligence when looking for a job
📅 Monday, March 10, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT, can be a great help when looking for a job. Participants will learn how to use AI to prepare, review, and tailor their CV and cover letter. The workshop will include practical exercises, tailoring documents to specific job ads, and responsible use of technology. There will also be an emphasis on linguistic correctness and confident expression.
Workshop (7) – Stress-free job interview
📅 Monday, March 17, 2025, at 5 p.m.
An interview can be stressful—or an opportunity to shine. Together, we will practice how to prepare for typical questions, how to talk about yourself and your experiences, and how to remain calm and confident. We will simulate a job interview and also learn about nonverbal communication. Each participant will receive personal feedback and advice for improvement.
Workshop (8) – What next? Tools and steps after the end of the cycle
📅 Monday, March 24, 2025, at 5 p.m.
The final workshop will be dedicated to planning the next steps on the path to employment. We will look at how to find job advertisements, how to respond to them, how to monitor your progress, and where to turn for help or mentoring. Participants will receive a support folder with all the materials and tools they need, as well as tips for further skill development. The focus will be on long-term empowerment.
