In cooperation with members of the Roma community and photographer Jasmina Vidmar, the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., within the Slovenian Roma Route project, funded by the Ministry of Culture, has prepared a photographic exhibition entitled Views on Different Sides, which will be opened on Wednesday, 25 January at 13:00 in the entrance hall of the Maribor Synagogue.

In January 2023, photographer Jasmina Vidmar is preparing the exhibition Views in Different Directions, based on close collaboration with Romani women. To support the realisation of the exhibition, Epeka is organising a four-week residency for the artist at our premises on Pohorje, where we will provide her with the peace needed for in-depth creative work and a space for community gatherings.

Together with architect and artist Luka Murovec, we are preparing the exhibition “Pohorski Biseri” (“Pohorje Pearls”). The exhibition—conceived as a spatial installation—was developed during the artist’s month-long stay in our premises on Pohorje, during which he researched old Pohorje customs, superstitions, and mythologies that are now almost entirely forgotten.
