On Thursday, 22 October 2026, at 10:00 AM, the exhibition “The Best News from Around the World” will open in the lobby of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia. The exhibition highlights positive stories, achievements, and good practices in global development. The opening ceremony will be hosted by State Secretary Uršula Menih Dokl and Max Zamani, Director of the SLOGA Platform.

Organised by the SLOGA Platform, the Slovenian network of non-governmental organisations working in development, global education, and humanitarian aid, the exhibition invites visitors to discover a different perspective on the world. At a time when media coverage is often dominated by crises, conflicts, inequalities, and other global challenges, it draws attention to the many positive developments taking place around the world that frequently go unnoticed.

The exhibition brings together stories of progress, solidarity, cooperation, and successful development initiatives. These examples demonstrate that international development cooperation delivers tangible results and contributes to improving living conditions for individuals and entire communities.

Behind Every Positive Change Are People and Cooperation

Every successful development story is the result of the efforts of numerous individuals, local partners, non-governmental organisations, and other stakeholders. Long-term partnerships, knowledge sharing, and the strengthening of local capacities make it possible to achieve changes that extend beyond individual projects and create lasting impacts.

The exhibition therefore offers more than simply good news. It encourages visitors to reflect on the importance of international solidarity, active citizenship, and our shared responsibility for building a more just and inclusive world.

The exhibition was previously presented at the National Council of the Republic of Slovenia on 5 October 2026, where its opening took place as part of the event “From the Field to Policy”, organised by the SLOGA Platform in cooperation with the EPEKA Association. Its presentation at the Ministry of Culture further extends the exhibition’s message to a wider audience.

We warmly invite you to visit the exhibition and discover inspiring stories demonstrating that positive change is possible and that cooperation, solidarity, and perseverance can help shape a better future.
