January 1, 2025-December 31, 2027
Maribor, Slovenia
The project “Promotion of health at the workplace at the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent.” is designed as a comprehensive approach to improving the physical and psychosocial well-being of employees.
It is based on a detailed analysis of the situation, which showed that the main challenges are prolonged sitting, high levels of stress, administrative burdens, and the consequences of precariousness. Those who work directly with users from vulnerable groups are particularly affected, as their work often involves stressful situations and high psychosocial stress.
The project will run between 2025 and 2027 and will combine various measures aimed at improving the ergonomics of the working environment, strengthening mental health, and reducing bureaucratic burdens. The planned changes include the introduction of adjustable desks, ergonomic chairs, and improved lighting, as well as the creation of relaxation areas and the inclusion of indoor plants. Psychosocial support will be provided through regular supervision, stress management workshops, and counseling. Employees will have access to exercises such as yoga, Pilates, swimming, and massages at work.
In addition to physical improvements, the project will also address organizational challenges such as optimizing work processes, thereby reducing administrative burdens and increasing work efficiency. The objectives include reducing sick leave, increasing employee satisfaction, and permanently improving working conditions.
With this project, the EPEKA Association is strengthening its commitment to creating a health-friendly working environment that supports the well-being and productivity of all members of the collective. The measures are designed to have a lasting effect even after the project is completed, contributing to greater employee stability and promoting a culture of health care in the workplace.
The project is co-financed by the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia.
