MC Postaja
The third workshop in the series will focus on organizing community events with an ecological theme. At MC Postaja, we will introduce young Roma to the importance of protecting the environment and the possibilities of how they can influence awareness among the general public through events.
The theoretical part will cover the basics of sustainable organization – from choosing environmentally friendly materials and reducing waste to promoting reuse and involving local producers. Participants will learn how to plan activities that are educational and at the same time attractive to visitors of all ages.
In the practical part, young people will develop a plan for a “Community Environment Day”, which will combine a clean-up campaign, creative recycling workshops and information stands with local environmental initiatives. Special emphasis will be placed on interactive approaches, such as games and competitions, which encourage learning through fun.
The workshop will give young people tools and ideas for long-term promotion of sustainable practices in their environment and equip them with skills that they can use in future projects.
The EPEKA youth program is co-financed by: the Youth Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the Municipality of Maribor and Erasmus+.
