MC Postaja
The fourth workshop in the series of empowering young Roma people at MC Postaja will be dedicated to exploring the balance between digital and real life in the community.
Young people will learn how digital technology can support learning, connection and creativity, as well as the risks of excessive use of social networks and digital devices.
In the introductory part, we will reflect together on the signs of digital addiction and how it affects our well-being, relationships and participation in the community. Participants will receive practical advice for a healthier use of technology, such as setting time limits, creating an “offline” routine and finding alternative activities that strengthen real relationships.
The practical part will include a group exercise where young people will plan a series of activities that could encourage more live socializing in the local environment – from sports games and cultural meetings to volunteering campaigns. The emphasis will be on how to use digital channels as a tool for invitation, not as a replacement for personal contacts.
The workshop will be designed to help young people develop a critical attitude towards the digital world and encourage them to be more active in the physical community. The goal of the meeting will be for participants to realize that the true strength of a community is based on real relationships, collaboration, and shared experiences.
The event is being prepared in collaboration with the Association for the integration of Roma Women Loli Luludi.
The EPEKA youth program is co-financed by: the Youth Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the Municipality of Maribor and Erasmus+.
