The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., within the framework of the operation Connected with Culture: The Support Office for Connecting Projects is establishing a central support mechanism for Roma organizations operating in the field of culture and implementing operations within the project cluster on the JR–CONNECTED WITH CULTURE.
The operation, which will take place between 1 December 2025 and 31 May 2027, is intended to strengthen the knowledge, competences and long-term stability of Roma project teams and promote their more visible role in the cultural space.
The main objective of the operation is to create a professional and accessible support environment that enables Roma organizations to implement their cultural projects professionally, efficiently and sustainably. The project office will offer a comprehensive range of services: from technical and administrative support, legal and financial guidance, to mentoring, consulting and assistance in using the eMA2 information system. Special emphasis will be placed on empowering project managers in the areas of reporting, designing and implementing cultural events, fundraising and international networking.
As part of the operation, we will conduct at least 12 group workshops and more than 40 hours of individual consulting. We will also organize professional networking meetings with local, national and European partners and prepare a final public event with the sharing of good practices.
The expected effects of the operation include strengthening the competences of participants, higher quality of implemented cultural projects, easier access of organisations to calls for tenders and international opportunities and reducing barriers to equal participation of Roma in society. The operation will also contribute to a broader dialogue between cultures, greater visibility of Roma creativity and the achievement of European and national goals for Roma inclusion by 2030.
The operation is co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund Plus and the Republic of Slovenia. The operation is implemented within the framework of the European Cohesion Policy Programme for the period 2021-2027 in Slovenia, policy objective: 4 “A more social and inclusive Europe implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights”, priority: 7 “Long-term care and health and social inclusion”, specific objective: ESO4.8 “Promoting active inclusion to promote equal opportunities, non-discrimination and active participation and increasing employability, in particular for disadvantaged groups”.
Within the framework of the allocated total funds for the East, the share of total eligible expenditure of the community is 85% or EUR 84,996.94, and the share of the budget of the Republic of Slovenia is 15% or EUR 14,999.46.
