Co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the International Centre for the Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), the 15th edition of the Africa Day conference will take place on 2 and 3 June 2026. On the first day, the conference will be held at Jable Castle in Mengš, and on the second day at Villa Bled in Bled.
At a time when the world is facing increasing environmental and social challenges, cooperation between Europe and Africa is more important than ever. As a water-rich country, Slovenia can share its experience and expertise, while at the same time learning from innovative solutions and the dynamic development of African countries. The central theme of the conference will be the management of water resources, which represents an important meeting point of development and economic cooperation between Slovenia and Africa.
Economic and development panels will be held at the Jable Castle in Mengš, aimed at strengthening concrete cooperation and direct dialogue between Slovenian companies and African partners.
On the second day of the conference, African guests will attend the Bled Water Forum.
This year, African countries are participating at the embassy level. The ambassadors of Zimbabwe, Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Zambia, Equatorial Guinea, Burkina Faso and Egypt have already confirmed their participation.
