Sign up for the next workshop in the series, which will be led by architect and lecturer Ubran Žunko. Gain knowledge and information on how to set up a housing cooperative.
Young people facing high rent prices or hard-to-reach credit? Housing cooperatives offer an alternative – a model where residents become co-owners and managers of their homes, with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and community. And how do you get started?
Our workshop will take you through the entire process, step by step:
- Legal Framework in Slovenia: Understanding the Cooperatives Act (Zzad) and the specifics of housing cooperatives. How does the law determine the operation and liability of cooperatives?
- Founding members: Who can set up a cooperative? You’ll need a minimum of three founding members. We will talk about the importance of a shared vision, trust and mutual agreement.
- Statutes and bodies of the cooperative: The heart of every cooperative. How to write a statute that will protect the interests of all members? You will learn about the role of the General Meeting, the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Board.
- Registration process: From the preparation of the documentation to the entry in the court register. How to successfully navigate through bureaucratic procedures?
Participation is free, the number of places is limited – register as soon as possible!
