On the occasion of the International Day of Families, the Epeka Association participated in the conference Family Centres as a Key Natural Source of Assistance to Families, organised by the Mala ulica Institute – Centre for Children and Families. Family is the foundation of society, but every family sometimes needs support, advice, or simply a safe space where they feel accepted.
The conference, organised on the occasion of the International Day of Families by the Public Institute Mala ulica – Centre for Children and Families in Ljubljana, highlighted the key role of family centres in the modern social structure. The central thread of the discussions was the definition of family centres not only as places of care, but as natural sources of help that provide support to families at different stages of life.
The conference made it clear that family centres are an indispensable link in strengthening social resilience. They are a place where theory meets practice and where, through informal socializing, solid foundations are built for healthy growing up of children and confident parenting. Documented summaries serve as an important professional resource for all those who are looking for solutions in local environments to improve the quality of family life and strengthen social security.
