Brdo pri Kranju

Representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., attended the international conference Aktivni.Vsi = Pridobimo.vsi, which took place at Brdo pri Kranju.

The conference is aimed at people working in local government, social care (especially social work centres, homes for the elderly), education and training, employers and human resources, and anyone who is confronted with work-life balance issues or stereotypes in their work. It will: present good practices from other countries in the field of work-life balance, addressing gender stereotypes and promoting active fatherhood; review some of the results and experiences of the Active.Everyone project,
present some of the key activities of the draft Resolution on Family Policy, examine what local authorities are already doing and what they can do to address the care needs of the population, present some examples of good practice in the field of care for the elderly, and take a critical look at where changes to the system are needed, discuss the benefits for children, families, society and employers of promoting active fatherhood, look at how gender stereotypes can be addressed in innovative and creative ways, and listen to primary and secondary school pupils to see what arguments they could find for and against the traditional division of labour within the family. The project is co-funded by the EU.
