The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, invites you to participate in the ANTROPOGEN 4 youth exchange, which will take place in Romania.

Climate change is a hot topic these days. Humans are putting a heavy strain on nature. A large number of animal and plant species (60%) no longer exist. The social responsibility of the new generation is not clearly explained and the information is vague. Many media outlets and social media sources create messages that cause confusion. Climate scepticism clouds young people’s ability to obtain accurate information with which they can form their own civic stance and commitment to this goal.

In the ANTHROPOGENIC AGE, there is a need to create opportunities for discussion and critical thinking about information noise. People need to take responsibility, so the educational approach should encourage an active attitude.

OBJECTIVES:

20 participants (aged 15–18) from Romania, France, and Slovenia will gain a responsible perspective on their active role in climate change.

By the end, participants will understand:

  • The concept of sustainable development goals and how they can be applied in everyday life for an active approach.
  • The concept of climate scepticism and develop critical thinking on this topic.
  • Participants will express their new understanding of climate change through performance and visual arts.
