Entrepreneurial and Creative Weekend

The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, participated in the Entrepreneurial and Creative Weekend project organised by the Maribor Secondary School of Catering and Tourism in cooperation with the Martin Konšaka Primary School.
Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., gave a lecture to young students and primary school pupils on various topics on entrepreneurship and creativity.The topics we dealt with during the event were:
- Introduction to the importance of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in companies, organisations,
- an overview of the state of the art and ways of promoting the development of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship in the world and in our country,
- a presentation and a tour of good practices in a specific sector and access to the management of companies (in the catering sector),
- social entrepreneurship and social responsibility and a look at good practice in the field,
a workshop to ensure and promote the development of personal qualities, - “brainstorming of young people on the topic of entrepreneurial ideas, defining needs, exploring ideas, concepts, business models – group work,
- what is blockchain technology,
- preparing for the presentation of young people’s entrepreneurial ideas and creating a business model,
- what is the circular economy,
- short innovative presentation of entrepreneurial ideas and business model by groups of young people – pitching.
