Maribor Synagogue
In cooperation with the Maribor Synagogue we organised the opening of the exhibition Roma in Movement.
On the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we organised the opening of a guest documentary exhibition “Roma in Movement”.
The exhibition was dedicated to the memory of the Roma victims of Nazi persecution and also marked the 77th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, one of the worst Nazi concentration camps.
The exhibition opened on Thursday, 27 January 2022, at 6 pm at the Roma Station at Preradovičeva Street 1 in Maribor.
On the occasion of the opening of the exhibition, Boris Hajdinjak, Director of the Centre for Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor, gave a lecture entitled “Slovenian Roma in Auschwitz”. The event also included a presentation of the Slovenian Roma Route project.
The opening of the exhibition and the lecture are part of the SCO project Let’s Remember 2022, supported by the Municipality of Maribor. The exhibition was organised by the Academy in Graz, Roma Service and the Maribor Synagogue.
