The situation in which we find ourselves presents a particular challenge for many, as it puts us in a position of powerlessness and confronts us with an uncertain future.

Some individuals in the current situation are facing hardship as a result of this uncertainty, which is quite understandable. If we are overwhelmed by our current situation and need support, help and advice, it is good to know where to turn. Health education and health promotion centres and other health services within health centres are available for this purpose. They offer free, relieving talks to help you cope with stress, fears or worries related to coronavirus. The aim of the telephone counselling is to provide basic psychological support to people in the local community during an epidemic. The telephone support will take the form of relieving conversations, but is not intended to provide in-depth (psychotherapeutic or psychiatric) treatment. The telephone counsellors will be psychologists or other appropriately trained health (co)workers with experience in mental health.

In Maribor, they are available every weekday, in the morning from 7 am to 1 pm, in the afternoon from 1 pm to 7.30 pm on 070 754 343 and 030 702 663.
