Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will attend the “IFA Centenary Reception” and the public debate “Beyond Us, Against Them” on 2 May in Brussels.
The public talk will take place after the reception, which will be opened by DJ Dunya and saxophonist Vincèn Robin. The discussion will focus on the themes of populism, extremism and Euro-scepticism and will address the question to what extent can the cultural sector act against the rise of segregation and discrimination that can be perceived as an internal threat to the European project? What new forms of cultural cooperation would such roles require?
