The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., invites you to summer youth workshops, which will take place every Thursday at the Roma Station at 1 Preradovičeva Street.

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., has recently opened a youth centre for young people from the local area, often young people with fewer opportunities (social hardships, exclusion from society on the basis of ethnicity, etc.) whose families can hardly afford to allow them to participate in after-school activities and activities, which are largely paid for. To this end, during the summer months (during the holidays, when these children are faced with a surplus of free time), we want to offer art workshops for young people, where they will be introduced to various forms of creativity, under the mentorship of a renowned artist – Selma Selman, who often deals with social hardships in her works, and the mentorship of experienced youth workers from the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent.

Project objectives:

  • to offer quality leisure time during the summer months to young people with fewer opportunities,
  • to promote a sense of artistic and cultural engagement,
  • fostering creativity among young people,
  • successful implementation of the workshops and the final exhibition,
  • dissemination of the project,
  • promoting participation and networking of young people in the local environment,
  • introducing young people to different artistic techniques and methods,
  • preventing social hardship among young people,
  • providing training for young people with the help of Selma Selman’s mentoring,
  • raising young people’s self-esteem,
  • transferring good practice through non-formal learning opportunities.
