Knowledge for my dreams, The path to ethical education – good practices in education for refugees and migrants
12 January, 2017
Rogaška Slatina, Slovenia
The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will be represented by Štefan Simončič, President, at the International Conference Knowledge for My Dreams, The Path to Ethical Education – Good Practices in the Education of Refugees and Migrants.
We will listen to a range of panels touching on the impact of changing social, political, economic and environmental changes on migration (focus on the situation in the Middle East – EU in the light of the refugee crisis). We will examine the reasons for the increase in migration as a global phenomenon; the importance of the geopolitical and security situation in Europe, Asia
and Africa; and the EU’s relationship to the Middle East in the context of migration flows. We will also look at the wide range of implications that migration brings: impacts on education systems and international aid, the migrant experience in host countries and a critical approach to sources that shape public opinion.
