Štefan Simončič, president of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will participate in the Annual Consultation on Adult Education.

The Annual Consultation on Adult Education (LPoIO) is a national event that brings together activities and results in policy, research and practice in adult education, while highlighting the challenges common to our field of work.

This year and next, there are or will be even more challenges, as we are at a turning point, with strategic documents being finalised at national and European level and new ones being developed. For example, we are coming to the end of the implementation of the Resolution on the National Adult Education Programme for the period 2013-2020 (ReNPIO) and the NPIO for the new decade is in the process of being drafted. Expert materials are also being prepared in line with the Law on Adult Education adopted last year. All these processes will set the tone for this year’s meeting of experts, practitioners, policy makers and other stakeholders in adult education.

This year, the Andragogical Centre of Slovenia (ACS) will organise the 10th edition of the consultation, commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia.
