Erasmus+

We are pleased to announce that the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., is a partner in the Erasmus+ project Catching up with Digital Space.

Older people are a very vulnerable and neglected social group in terms of media literacy, resistance to misinformation and digital competences. This consequently threatens the democratic development of our society, so with this project we aim to increase the capacity of the organisations involved and empower our staff working with the elderly with new skills and methodologies for approaching the elderly in order to increase their media literacy and digital competences.

Activities
1. Online kick-off meeting
2. Focus groups to analyse the needs of older people
3. Seminar to integrate the results of the focus groups into the new methodology and tools
4. Job shadowing in Poland and Slovenia
5. Local activities to put the new methods into practice
6. Seminar for adapting the working methods and tools and finalizing them into the final version.
7. Web meeting for final evaluation

Impact
We expect organisations to increase their capacity in the field of adult learning, to develop new methodologies and tools for approaching older people and to be able to provide them with knowledge and skills in media literacy and digital tools. The results will be summarised in a booklet to be made available to organisations working with adults and shared on the EPALE platform.
