At the EPEKA Association, so. p., we are aware of the importance of volunteering and socially beneficial activities. We are especially proud of two of our employees who, outside of their regular work duties, actively work as volunteer rescue dog handlers.

Both are members of The Slovenian Rescue Dog Unit (ERPS) and Podravje Rescue Dog Handlers Association, where they and their four-legged partners participate in demanding search operations.

This calendar year, Epeka members have already participated in eight search operations, including two two-day ones. Such volunteer work requires a lot of preparation, good training and dedication, and at the same time represents an invaluable contribution to the protection and rescue system. Rescue dogs are an indispensable link in the search for missing persons in both urban and natural environments, as their exceptional tracking ability often makes a decisive contribution to the success of the operations.

At Epeka, we support such volunteer work – we do our best to enable the participation of our employees in search operations even during working hours and offer support to members who dedicate their free time to valuable, socially beneficial goals. We believe that society as a whole gains the most when employers recognize and enable such forms of engagement.
