The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will participate in the conference “Driving European Prosperity and Industrial Transformation: Cooperatives as Agents of Change”, organised by the European Commission.

The event will bring together experts, representatives of cooperatives, academics and policy makers to discuss the role of the cooperative model in strengthening economic resilience and social cohesion in the European Union.

The conference will address key issues related to the role of cooperatives in the transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive economy. Discussions will focus on the importance of cooperatives in industrial transformation, in creating quality jobs and in fostering innovation and digitisation in different sectors.

EPEKA will present its experience and projects based on cooperative principles, contributing to the social inclusion and economic independence of vulnerable groups. Through its participation, EPEKA will highlight the importance of cooperatives in addressing social and economic challenges and exchange good practices with representatives of other European organisations.

Plenary sessions will be held in English, French and Spanish and workshops will be available in English only. Although registration is currently closed, there is a possibility to re-open applications if places become available.

EPEKA looks forward to participating in this important event and to the opportunity to network with other stakeholders working towards a sustainable and inclusive future for Europe.

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., continues its activities in the framework of the EPEKA Housing Cooperative for All project. The solution we are addressing in the EPEKA Housing Cooperative for All project is to solve the housing problem through housing cooperatives. Housing cooperatives already offer a suitable approach to solving the housing crisis, as they exist in many cities and regions across Europe. Housing cooperatives come in different shapes and sizes – some have just one building, owned jointly by a group of people.
